The straight pipe–flange cutting, fit-up and welding production line is mainly used for batch welding and fabrication of straight pipes with flanges and sleeves in industries such as shipbuilding, offshore engineering, coal mining, and chemicals. Steel pipes are batch cut to fixed lengths using a CNC flame/plasma cutting machine. The cut pipes are then mechanically fit-up with flanges or sleeves using a straight pipe–flange fit-up machine, and the assembled straight pipes with flanges or sleeves are automatically welded using a straight pipe–flange automatic welding machine. Cutting, fit-up, and welding processes are seamlessly connected via loading/unloading systems and buffer racks, eliminating the need to occupy an overhead crane for workpiece transfer and enabling batch flow-line operation.
