POWERCHINA Signs Strategic Cooperation Agreement with Shanghai

On July 3, POWERCHINA and the Shanghai Municipal Government held a signing ceremony in Shanghai for a strategic cooperation framework agreement. Wang Bin, General Manager of POWERCHINA, and Chen Jie, Vice Mayor of Shanghai, signed on behalf of both parties. At the same time, POWERCHINA’s East China Regional Headquarters signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with the Songjiang District Government of Shanghai.

Gong Zheng, Deputy Secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Committee and Mayor of Shanghai, said that Shanghai is strengthening its “Four Major Functions” and deepening the development of the “Five Centers.” He affirmed POWERCHINA’s strengths in areas such as energy security, low-carbon transition, and smart city infrastructure, and expressed the hope that this signing will serve as an opportunity to deepen cooperation and create a new model of government–enterprise collaboration.

Ding Yanzhang, Party Secretary and Chairman of POWERCHINA, thanked Shanghai for its support, noting that the company has participated in key projects in Shanghai involving infrastructure construction, ecological and environmental protection, and new energy. Looking ahead, POWERCHINA will leverage its integrated advantages across “investment, construction, and operation,” increase resource投入 in Shanghai, and help Shanghai build an international metropolis. Relevant officials from Shanghai and POWERCHINA attended the event.
