China Power Construction Nuclear Power Company: Jafurah Project in Saudi Arabia Sets a “Belt and Road” Quality Benchmark Through Model-Led Excellence

At a critical stage in building a new power system, China Power Construction Nuclear Power Company has integrated a model-led approach into the full life-cycle management of the Saudi Jafurah Project. Guided by the principle of “model-led execution, meticulous planning and pursuit of excellence,” the company implements its quality policy of “first-class work, first-class products,” setting a benchmark for the high-quality development of Belt and Road projects.

The civil works discipline created physical mockups, achieving “millimeter-level precision” in processes such as foundation excavation and waterproofing construction—accurate excavation elevations and smooth, flat installation of waterproof membranes. The mechanical discipline established a standardized system, strictly controlling details in equipment leveling and welding monitoring; weld seams are well-formed, and outer guard plates are installed to specification, meeting a “zero leakage” standard. The electrical and instrumentation discipline focused on details, advancing bolt torque and cable laying in accordance with standards; panels and cabinets are neatly arranged, and enclosed bus ducts undergo millimeter-level calibration.

Looking ahead, the company will continue to use models and processes as key levers, further polishing the “Made in China Quality” brand and injecting momentum into the industry.
